What should a self-employed invoice include in the UK?
Your name or trading name, your address, your client's name and address, a unique invoice number, the invoice date, a description of the services delivered, the amount charged, and the total due. If you are VAT-registered, add your VAT number, the VAT rate, the VAT amount as a separate line, and the VAT-inclusive total. HMRC does not require you to include your UTR number on client invoices.
